Are you ready?

UGH! I really hate the way I draw eyes...it drives me nuts!
I'm trying to work on putting more emotion into my drawings...the faces at least.
The proportions here are really bad...sorry for the sloppy background..the mountains..yes, they are mountains, look like a tsunami is about to happen. >_<
The little white thing is a jackalope...it's supposed his "spirit buddy"..yay.
The wolf is ready to leave his homeland...so yay..I thought of some dialogue...

The sun's dimming rays shone down on Alex's fur, causing the brown furred wolf to squint into the distance.
Endless mountains stood ahead of him. His heart raced at the fact that he was about to step into the unknown...farther than any wolf had dared to go.
"Are you sure about this?"
Alex gazed down at a small rabbit like creature, its antlers much too big for its small head. The wolf snorted, shaking his head. "If I was, I would be mad." Alex redirected his gaze to the horizon, taking in a deep breath.
"But...but..what if you never come back?" His companion ventured, placing a timid white paw on Alex's foreleg.
"There's not much for me to lose," Alex replied, taking a step forward. "I'm ready...what about you?"
